<p>I can remember the fellow’s name, as he is mentioned often here on CC. The two names are Krueger and Dale. Krueger is an economics researcher affiliated with Princeton University. The study has been criticized on methodological grounds by other researchers, and seems to have its conclusions misrepresented in many news reports. </p>

<p>Personally, I think there is a substantial enough quality difference between Rhodes (good college) and Dartmouth (great college) to be worth looking into. Some families facing that choice will still end up at Rhodes, but that’s the kind of choice to make after looking seriously at each college.</p>
