<p>I do not think it would hurt to ask, but I do think it is too late. At this point, they are probably now double checking decisions and stuffing envelopes. With decisions being released within a week, I doubt it would drastically change anything so late in the game. If you are wait listed, then yes, write a letter explaining how much you want to go to UChicago and also explain the circumstances you dealt with in HS.</p>
