How good is Fin Aid?

“quiet” should be “quite”

typo

“Typically, ~180 students accept Mudd’s offer but this year 203 did”

Does this decrease the # of people they accept for transfer? eep.

“Does this decrease the # of people they accept for transfer? eep.”
I don’t think it would this year…

but next year I’m sure they are going to adjust their acceptance methods a bit since Mudd’s applicant pool is growing extremely fast.

203 accepted? this means they won’t be needing any of the people on the waitlist right? sigh…this is the worst news i could possibly get.

dammit. if only people weren’t so intelligent…haha

203 attending and yes I assume they will not be going to the waitlist this year at all.

Given Mudd’s student body size, it doesn’t seem like 203 is an unreasonable number at all. Each class (based on the statistics with which I’m familiar, but I could be mistaken) is 200+ students (typically Scripps’ student body is 800 and Mudd is listed as 850, but I know that in recent years, both have increased a bit). So no, there’s definitely not a lot of wiggle room, but it doesn’t seem like it’ll create any problems…

“Each class (based on the statistics with which I’m familiar, but I could be mistaken) is 200+ students”

Last year Mudd had ~190 enroll. The year before was ~185. They year before was ~170.

Mudd should be listed at 750 because that is really what it is at.

rocket, I thought my class was around 182.

“rocket, I thought my class was around 182.”
You may be right here. Perhaps I mixed up my year and your year. One of them peaked at ~190 though…

Rocket – I was mixing up the student body stats for Mudd and Pitzer…you’re correct (Mudd actually lists itself as 700, but it’s inconsequential here). Thanks for the correction!
