I have no idea what ratio is (and surely varies by school), but I would think closer to 50/50… AOs travel the world/country doing interviews too so someone pointed out…
Also MANY people are scrambling at end to get an interview in past year - Sept/Oct are usually easier…lists aren’t decided, etc.
no. those are “inquiries” typically in admission speak…Admissions team work hard to turn those into applications, to the point it may be a metric the board sees…
I was on an independent school board at one point, and we looked at this data - how many people inquired, how many toured, how many attended open houses, how many completed applications (including interviews)…and yield, too…
Instead of trying to figure out that way you should try to see if the school is a good fit for your child and then you move on from there. Yes, as a mother who went through the process? It is hard and a gambling process. Your child might have everything that required to be accepted to any reach school but rejected to all even to those schools you thought were safety. This happened to one of my daughter’s middle school friend. I believe she was not looking for any FA, she graduated number 2 in their class, many ECs on her belt and countless of volunteering hours but rejected to all schools she applied to. On my eyes she was one of those overachieving kids. So you analyzing that way won’t help you at all. It is if your child fits in the kind of class they are putting together.
