<p>Of course! But why do people assume that the actual acceptance rate is going to be better than what is reported in the student responses? It’s possible that the actual rate would be WORSE. After all, I would surmise that a lot of people with low grades/test-scores apply to UCSF anyway, get rejected, and then never report this fact. Let’s face it. If you have bad grades, bad test scores, and a whole bunch of rejections in your hand, you’re probably not champing at the bit to report in.</p>
