How hard is it to switch from CAS to engineering while in college?

For the schools that do offer engineering, how difficult is it to switch from CAS (arts and sciences; sometimes called something else depending on the school) to engineering?

For the schools that don’t offer engineering, is it possible to do undergrad in something else and then do engineering in grad school? If I do something else in undergrad does it have to be a science (i.e. physics, chemistry)?

<p>Sometimes. It is best to have an undergraduate major that is the same as your graduate engineering major. If not, the more closely related your undergraduate major is to your graduate engineering major, the better.</p>
