I switched out my osmosis tank and filters using YouTube videos. Also watched a hilarious (and informative) YouTube video showing how to re-program a Toyota Yaris key fob. Both saved me a few hundred $ - I also watched a YouTube video when I couldn’t understand a sewing pattern, the videos I watched simplified the process, and I ended up rewriting the pattern instructions for the future.
I have used Youtube videos for many automotive projects. Especially if you get a video using the exact same model you are working on it is the best. I don’t even open the service manual - just use the video. Youtube helped me replace the broken screen on a laptop. Recently Youtube helped me transfer my wife’s contacts from her old Windows phone to her new Samsung Android phone, after the “techs” at the Tmobile store spent an hour futsing and couldn’t do it.
@swimcatsmom reminded me I just used a video to help me pack a suit (folded the jacket a special way and rolled it up). Youtube showed me how to change my guitar strings, all kinds of stuff.
D learned to play the ukulele watching You Tube. After she learned a few songs we paid for real lessons for her. Has been a source enjoyment for her and for us.
I, too, learned to make a corsage and boutonnieres. They came out nice and saved us money on my dd’s wedding. I also learned how to tile a backsplash- secret is Musselbound tape. I have also used it to teach my dog nose work, certain baking techniques and so much more!
