I wouldn’t call him a weaboo. Weaboos don’t have any interest in Japan other than anime/manga, and their interest in the Japanese language die out after they learn how difficult it is.

■■■■■ forreal this person clearly has an obsession with japan.

how are you done with your general ed? and your trying to transfer to a UC that requires IGETC?

im sorry, madd confused. this sorta seems like a boasting thread.

& gettin all these A’s but don’t know how to spell transferred. hmmm.

:) but hey i didnt even take calculus yet and im a pre dent major, so what do i know?

@Hayward1991: The Weeaboos get filtered out the in the first class of japanese, the people that have a reason to stay are the ones that do well. I actually dread watching anime, but to be honest I do like the games better. I got into japanese in 1998 when I bought a japanese N64 and games which helped me decide to take it in high school. 10 years later I met my current girlfriend because of my interest in Japanese and my ability to speak a little bit. I went back to school and decided to take more classes in Japanese, and it has been one of the best decisions I have made. I decided when I have kids, they need to know the language, and we will spend our time teaching them.

@UCkittychen what part of “I am done with IGETC” confuses you? Warren college accepts IGETC as full completion of GE requirements. The only thing I have left is my major prep, which is only 3 possible courses I could have taken at my CC anyways, all the other classes are not articulated, so I have to take them at UCSD.

Well… are you planning on having kids already!? Rofl

looks at my cc igetc uc

***, why is it more simpler than the general ed path?

@pUqeecs as someone that is turning 30 this year, YES, yes I am.

@UCkittychen No Idea :-)

@UCkittychen Make fun of someone for spelling “transferred” wrong and then say “more simpler”. Winner.

OT: I don’t see how only those courses allowed you to complete IGETC, but congratulations.

■■■■■ im not showin off my transcript full of As and talking about how i transferred in a year. ■■■■■ type more simpler in google then transfered and see which one google wants to correct, ■■■■■.

geez, woe is me.

So what you’re saying is, a person majoring in Japanese doesn’t need to take 4 classes of Japanese? As an East Asian Studies major who plans on focusing on Japan, I am insulted and offended by this. Japanese people aren’t the only ones who take Japanese classes, you know.

haha nice. did you apply to cal or ucla?

i see what both of you are saying.i mean it is a bit rare you hear of a person taking 4th year japanese, the language is incredible and complex as hell. like you guys said, “Weed out”

@passwordis123 actually, UCSD is the only school I applied to, I need to stay local to san diego because of the company I work for.

is it a international type company?

I see. congrats anyway. I love the area around UCSD and my sister goes there. I was debating between UCSD and UCLA for aerospace engineering until LA provided me good scholarships.

@UCLAkittychen “A, E, I, O, U and sometimes Y.” Mull that over for a bit.

OT: The only thing that would make UC Berkeley better is if it was in San Diego. Congratulations on getting into where you wanted to go and have fun; I’m sure you’ll do great since you were able to finish CCC so quickly.

^

<---------uc irvine/davis dreams, screw ucla prestige

(no bash on peoples extremely hard work though).

irvine = safest city in the nation. that = + a million for me.
