How is the house selling season going?

I like your approach, jym626. Wait and see is hard to do, but seems like the best approach in this situation.

Buyers have cold feet. So we move on…

Oh, no! I am so sorry, jym626. :(

And today is my dad’s birthday. He would have been 90 :(

So sorry, jym! It is important to find out whether or not the “cold feet” was because of something the buyers learned from the inspection. If it was, you may end up dealing with similar concerns down the line from other buyers. Good luck!

Many sellers do their own inspection first to find the obvious weaknesses and either fix or disclose them upfront. Very effective.

so sorry.
I think you might want to have your agent to call the other agent to find out why. You also should review the selling strategy again to make sure everything is covered based on local conditions. At least, you should find out if an inspection did happen and what are the results from it.

Thanks everyone. Aware of all this. Agent didn’t get much from the other agent, I think b/c in part the people knocked off a shutter and are denying it. Oh, I they “heard a noise” and just “happened” to see that a shutter fell. Right when they were there. Baloney.

also an house with an oil tank in the ground, should be considered abnormal and cannot be price the same as a regular. I know the insurance is transferable, but to collect it if there is a problem will be a major undertaking.

My clients’ commercial building was burned down, she had insurance, but she had to go to the court to have the insurance company pay for it. three months in the works, there still was no settlement. of course, residential insurance is different, but it will still be a struggle.

Apologies, buy not looking for critical feedback right now. It is a specific policy that covers that tank and grounds if there is a probloem, and is coordinated in conjunction with the oil company. That area has lots of in ground tanks. It is what it is. If I have updated news I’ll let you know.

No feedback, just hugs from here, jym…hang in there!

Thank you, ellemenope. Much preferred and much appreciated.

UUGGHHH!

Hang in there, jym626…the right buyer will come along!

Oh, Jym. And on your dad’s birthday, too. I’m so sorry.

The same thing happened to us, when the first buyers backed out. I just hope you have the same outcome as we did, when a second set of buyers showed up. We’re moving toward closing in the next couple of weeks. I never thought it would happen, and here we are.

Maybe with our houses, two times is the charm. I hope your find a good buyer again soon. maybe even for more money!

Thanks, hayden. Younger s left to go back to college today too. Not a happy day .

^^^Sending good thoughts your way, jym.

jym, you will sell it. You will.

Thinking of you.

Been there done that, twice! But that was years ago and miles away.

Know that feeling though - you think it will never sell. But it will! Hang in there.

Hope it sells soon! And hope your son sends you lots of text messages and call you frequently!
