<p>We stood in a long line of vacationers coming from two (or more?) Caribbean/Central America flights a few years ago. It was evening and the US citizen line was faster but far too many travelers for the agents available at the time to make it quick at O’Hare. Don’t remember such long lines for other vacations.</p>
<p>International flights to HI tend to land in the AM and many land at the same time. That said, customs lines around here tend to generally be pretty quick and not much longer than non-international flights for passengers to get their luggage & thru customs.</p>
<p>PHL has a well-lit, free cell phone lot across from the terminal where you can wait in your car.</p>
<p>All the above. I have been through customs in minutes and other times 2.5 hours then missed my connecting flight. Have them text you- they will be able to see the line once they are in it.</p>
