How many classes have you take/will you have taken when you graduate?

iluvpiano - I took six AP classes in school this year, plus wind ensemble. My state offers free online classes, so I took three of those (stats, enviro, and comp sci; my school doesn’t offer the latter two, and I couldn’t fit stats into my schedule due to a conflict). I did comp sci over the summer, and I did stats and enviro during the school year. Honestly, it wasn’t that bad. I did get a decent amount of obnoxious homework, but I like to think of myself as a very efficient worker. I just get home and pound out the busywork. I also read in the mornings, and I spread my really obnoxious assignments (repetitive 100 question chem problem sets…yeah) over a week or so, so it really isn’t that bad. I didn’t start studying for my AP exams until mid-February, but I did it a bit at a time. April involved some more rigorous studying, but my teachers pretty much stopped assigning homework anyway, so I had the time for it. Also, I pretty much stopped paying attention in calc so I could focus on learning physics.

I’ll be taking 8

Sophomore: Chem, US History I (my school requires two years of U.S. history. It’s dumb, I know), Environmental Science (Self study)
Junior: Spanish lang, English lang/comp, US History II
Senior: Bio, BC Calc, Chinese, Psych

So 9 or 10, depending on if you count APUSH as one or two.

Not as good as the above poster, but still decent
9th-None
10th-Chem, Calc BC
11th-Phys B, Bio, Eng Lang, USH, Euro(self), World(self), Phys C’s(self), Human Geo(self)
12th-Macro, US Gov, APES, Lit, Stats, French, Comp(self), Micro(self), Psych(self)
20 in total, 21 counting the AB subscore.
To comfort myself, I will be selfing 7 tests to his 3, and I hope to get straight 5’s(not to be an arse). I may or may not take Comp Sci next year; I have no programming experience, but I’m interested, and there may be a club for that at my school.

Freshman Year: None offered
Sophomore Year: None offered
Junior Year: Calc AB, Biology, English Lit
Senior Year (I plan on taking the following): Calc BC, Environmental Science, English Lang, Euro, US Gov, Spanish Lang

So that’s 10 in total. Not too bad. :)

@Keasbey Nights: I envy your non-procrastination skills. xP

9th - none
10th - Physics B (self-study) (5)
11th - Calc BC (self-study), Chem, CS A (self-study), Eng Lang (self-study), Music, Physics C: Mechanics (self-study), Physics C: E&M (self-study), Psych (self-study), Stats, US History
12th - Bio, Eng Lit, Japanese

So 14 total. I might add in APES, Econ, or Gov senior year, which would mean a maximum of 19, which isn’t too bad. I’m probably not going to self-study many APs senior year, focusing instead on college apps and math/physics.

garfield: No worries! I was a crappy freshman student and didn’t crack open the textbook for AP Human once. It bit me in the arse on the AP exam when I didn’t realize that the concentric zone model was synonymous with the Burgess model. As for AP French…it was flat-out hard. Best of luck with your endeavors! (:

Thanks. So your school lets you take multiple social science classes in a year? I wish my school were that good…we don’t even have AP Euro or World.

Six: APUSH, AP Music Theory, AP Euro, AP English Lit, AP Stats, and AP French

I think the most anyone’s taken at my school is 6-7. A lot of people took five or six this year (including AP Studio Art) but only one last year. I was odd for having taken two (APUSH and MT).

No one was allowed to take AP courses as sophomores or freshmen when I was a sophomore/freshman. However, as a junior and senior, they’ve allowed sophomores to take things like AP Stats. So I don’t know what my school’s policy is on AP courses. haha.

9th- None
10th- Ap Human Geography (ss)
11th- Ap French, Ap Language and Composition, Ap Chemistry , AP Pysch (ss), Ap Stat (ss)
12t- Ap Literature, Ap Calc AB, Ap Biology, (AP Latin/or AP Gov)

Somewhere between 8-10 APs

garfield: My school is actually pretty rigid, but I’ve been able to open some room for myself by taking classes online (for example, doing economics and government online helped open up a class my senior year so that I could take AP Art History). We have 7 periods in a day, but we must take two art classes every year. As a band major, I’ve been taking wind ensemble and jazz band every year, although this year I substituted AP Theory for jazz band.

Sophomore:
AP USH
AP Human Geo (self)

Junior:
AP English Lang
AP Macro
AP Micro (self)
AP Comp. Gov (self)
AP Bio
AP US Govt

Senior:
AP Calc BC
AP Chem
AP Physics
AP Eng Lit
AP Pysch

Sooooo 13 total…thats a lot when I think about it

Sophomore:
AP European History

Junior (this year):
AP US History
AP Calculus BC
AP Biology
AP English Language

Senior:
AP English Literature
AP Spanish Language
AP Art History
AP Government
AP Physics

So 10 in total :)

Freshmen
AP Biology
AP Human Geography

Sophomore
AP Chemistry
AP World History
AP Computer Science

Junior
AP Physics B
AP Calculus BC
AP English Language
AP Environmental Science
AP US History

Senior
AP Physics C
AP Government
AP Economics
AP English Literature
AP French
(math is dual enrollment)

So 15 total

Well, my school now has a partnership with Stanford that let’s us take college courses online. I plan to use that to take Linear Algebra and maybe abstract algebra.

Do you think that I would be able to self study art history?

Sophomore year- I just finished APUSH

Junior Year- AP English Lang

Senior Year – AP Physics B, AP Calc AB

My school doesn’t offer AP classes to underclassmen so I am only taking 8 classes, but I am taking at least 10 tests (most likely 11-12)
JR. (current)
Calc BC
APLAC
AP Physics B
APUSH (SS)
AP physics C Mechanics (SS)
Sr.
AP lit and comp
AP Stats
AP cs
AP Chem
AP Psych
most likely self studying one or both econ tests

Freshman: Physics B, Calc BC, Human Geography
Sophomore: Chemistry, Physics C (both), Statistics, World History
Junior: Computer Science, Psych, Language and Composition, US History
Senior: Spanish, Biology, Literature and Composition, Government and Politics.

Junior right now.

Freshman: none (school only offered HGAP, Euro, and WHAP in 9th-10th grades; school strongly discouraged any self-studying)

Sophomore: Human Geography, European History, World History

Junior: Biology, Art 2-D, US History, English Lang&Comp, French

Senior: English Lit, US Gov’t, Macro Econ, Comparative Gov’t, Psychology, Art Drawing, Art History, Statistics or Calc BC

Overall: 16 AP courses. I planned to self-study for a few others in Junior year, but my class load was incredibly crappy. Ended up with horrible teachers who pushed group projects on us all the time; classmates didn’t help at all. Hoping to self-study over the summer to take other APs in order to get State Scholar. Can’t believe I have to go to AP classes in school. They are incredulously horrible.

lol my school doesnt offer AP’s to 9th/10th grade and it says MAX 4 AP’s per year … so here goes:

9th: none
10th: none
11th (current): AP Bio, AP Lang
12th: AP Lit, AP Physics B, AP AB calc, AP Art history

so 6 by next year >.>
