How many early admits and how many will be invited for interviews?

I’m not exactly sure how many people will be in the class of 2014, but in the class of 2013, there were approximately 2800 students (for some reason I want to say 2813, but I can’t find the exact number) and USC had a yield rate of 32% last year, so I’d say there were roughly 8750 acceptances last year. There are 100 Trustee scholarships and 200 Presidential scholarships, full and half tuition respectively. So I’d say about 10-15% were admitted early and interviewed for just those scholarships.

Additionally there NMF presidential scholarships, international scholarships (half tuition), and Associate scholarships (quarter tuition), as well as others. some of which aren’t interviewed for, and don’t have an exact # to give out like presidential and trustee scholarships, so they’re able to give out what they want to whoever they want later and not worry about offering them to students to make up for the number that don’t accept the scholarship/admission.

list of scholarships can be found here: [url=http://www.usc.edu/admission/fa/grants_scholarships/undergraduates/meritbasedfo.html]USC Financial Aid - Grants & Scholarships - Undergraduate - Freshmen Only Scholarships/url

and note that just because you’re not admitted early, doesn’t mean you wont receive, or be interviewed for a scholarship eventually.

a very, very high percentage of early admits (meaning first or second wave) are invited for scholarship interviews, I dare to say as high as 100%, but I’m not entirely sure on that.
