If I remember correctly for 2012 students, there were 150 spots (or was it 125?) for each of two Trustee candidate Explore/interview days, and for three such days for the Presidential candidates.
So for Trustee candidates there were 300 (if my 150 figure is correct), and for Pres, 450.
That year I believe there were around 125 Trustee recipients who matriculated. (the exact figure may be found in the 2008 freshmen profile)
We figured out at the time that around 70% of Trustee candidates received that scholarship. Others were bumped down to Pres or Deans. (Also, a few Pres candidates were bumped up to Trustee.)
So that means around 210 got the Trustee, and of those, some went to other universities…leaving the 125 Trustees.

These are very rough figures for two years ago, but it may give an idea of the numbers if they will be similar this year. (if budget cuts etc. don’t have an impact)

The 10% to 15% of 8750 students mentioned above may be a tad high by what I remember (roughly from the 2012 year), but maybe my figures are a bit off or interview slot #s were different last year, (I’m pretty sure there were no more than 150 slots per day, for 5 interviewing days for those two scholarships (not counting Deans which require no interview) in 2008). 300 + 450 = 750.

Among early admits…meaning in late January and early February, probably two waves, I think it’s safe to say they all are Trustee or Pres scholarship candidates.
