I really wanted to respond to this so other people do not make this mistake (no offense intended). When I visited Yale you could not tell who had money and who didn’t the thought that money would be a hinderance is completely false. Sure people have money, but do people who have money act any differently? Nope, not at all. I have friends who might qualify as rich (400K a year, trip around the world, million dollar investment) who are just completely down to earth. DO NOT let some little thing like wealth keep you from attending an amazing school. I would wager that most people at Yale are not rich, I am going next year and I certainly am not. If you don’t want to be around rich people what profession do you think you are going to have? I mean this is just a nonsensical reason not to go to Yale.
