How many millionaires shop at Wal-Mart?

Yeah, well this doesn’t really qualify as enlightenment. I’ll wait.

I agree.

I don’t shop at WM but from everything I read their prices are a bit lower for the same items versus most other stores plus I think they generally tend to carry the lower cost items in the first place.

But I think the term ‘bargain’ implies a significantly better price than the comparable item elsewhere and I don’t think there’s a lot of difference between the prices of the comparable items at WM, Target, Costco, Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, and most other similar stores. Even Sears can have decent prices but only when an item is ‘on sale’ which is usually every 2 or 3 weeks, otherwise their items are usually over-priced. I’m not basing any of the above on clothing since I don’t buy enough to pay much attention to the price.

If you want to talk about nasty retail companies you can more easily start with Amazon over WM. Publishers hate them. Their warehouse employees are treated like Chinese factory workers. They avoid charging/paying sales taxes whenever possible costing states and local governments millions. They are not even considered a good local corporate citizen in Seattle.
