How Many Parents Here Look Like Tina Fey?

I’m a dead ringer for Meryl Streep, back in her thinner, younger days. My D looks like Carole Bouquet - the face of Chanel in the 1980s. According to my dad, my H looks like that guy on Fox who hosts the morning show on the weekends. My youngest S looks like how Daniel Craig, the latest James Bond, must have looked like as a child. Oddly enough, my young S met Daniel Craig in Italy a few years ago. The jury is still out on my older S, although my D says that he looks like Damien from The Omen. An odd assortment of genes…

A woman at a hotel once went on and on about how much I looked like Meg Ryan _ I’d never heard that before or after.

My youngest son started wearing glasses when he was very young so we constantly heard how he looked like the little kid in Jerry Maguire.

My husband has been mistaken for Val Kilmer so many times, I’ve lost count. As in, people actually asking for autographs! He loves it and I just roll my eyes.

DougBetsy, when I was a kid, my parents had friends in Woodbury. I remember visiting them often. Also, the night of our wedding, my H and I stayed in Penns Grove. We were headed south after getting married in a Philly suburb and that’s as far as we got that night.

The Worm, specially when he wore dark blue contacts, was a ringer for Daniel Radcliffe (think harry potter).

I’m impressed with all th beautiful reference to posters: M Streep, Connie C, Tina F, Jodi and Michelle. WOW

When I was younger, some said that I looked like Meg Tilly. Meg has aged better than I have, though…she is now referred to as “author and former actress.” Looks like her book is about a 12 year old girl who has been kidnapped by a 36 year old pedophile.

H looks like George Lucas used to look (when GL was thinner).

My H thinks I look like Sarah Palin, but I can’t cover the gray with dark brown any more (it is more reddish now).

My kids don’t look like anyone famous. Maybe someday people will be told they look like my D or my S!

In that case you probably look a lot like Tina Fey.

I get mistaken for George Clooney all the time. It never stops - except for the people who think I’m Brad Pitt. I get a lot of Daniel Craig and David Beckam comments too. It’s tough.

^^^ Me too Coureur. Too bad I’m female. In college I was told I looked a little like Jane Fonda, but it was my Klute haircut more than my face. She’s aged a LOT better.

I don’t look like anyone. My H used to look like Jeff Goldblum, but then Goldblum bulked up, and my H is still…not bulked up. Just as well. Who wants to be married to The Fly?

EDIT: correction. I look like my mother.

All I can say is which one of you is Bristol’s mama from Alaska! HA

I’m with starbright – when I meet people for the first time, I often hear “you look so familiar”. So I just tell them – yes – I’m Queen Latifah. Puts 'em at ease.

I just added Bossypants to my Amazon wishlist. I have to bring a book that has had an impact on my life to a meeting in about 2 weeks and I’d love to bring Bossypants. No, it hasn’t had an impact on my life yet but I am a humorist and I will explain that this type of book from one of the few celebs I relate to fits into my world view.

As of right now, I plan to bring Parenthood and Couplehood, both by Paul Reiser, to the meeting and just say this is what really matters to me. I’m not saying I am the best parent or spouse and I will not hold myself out as the perfect family man, I’m not, but the contents of these books is the way I find myself looking at the world and it will be less cliche than bring To Kill a Mockingbird or The Call of the Wild.

I agree with the other male poster on this thread, there are some new and interesting images popping up about many of the posters here. I knew there were some smart and interesting parents here, I sort of figured some of you having horned rimmed glasses on, hair up in a bun, working late, you know, the naughty librarian thing, going on.

No one does that momish but sexy look better than Tina Fey. I find it hilarious that she didn’t even want to do the Sarah Palin imitations at first. Can you imagine being in those meetings? Sarah Palin rocketed to fame, yeah, it was for her intelligence, and SNL knew they had to do imitations of her and who do they happen to have on staff? Just Tina Fey one of the world’s rising comediennes.

And she sitting there saying, “Um, no, not me.” That is hilarious. Of course she’s going to play Sarah! They are dead ringers.

And now for some fancy pagent walking!

I have been told for years that I am a Dana Delaney look alike but, lately she is getting younger looking and I…am not.

I think that one of my daughter’s looks just like Christina Ricci but she hates that comparison…she prefer’s when people say she looks like Michele Branch (who I don’t know of).

My son is a Nick Jonas clone, but cuter. Good thing…

No Tina Fey’s in our family but based on the reviews and a published excerpt, I am definitely going to read her book!

When the first Superman movie came out, people constantly remarked that H looked like Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent.

When my son was in grade school, before the Harry Potter movies came out, other kids constantly said he looked like Harry Potter. But he doesn’t look like Daniel Radcliffe at all.

As for me, I’m afraid that the only actress I’ve ever been compared to is Kathy Bates. Sorry, I’m too homely to compare to all you glamourpusses. Although when I was in college I could do a mean Mona Lisa imitation.

I always got Marie Osmand in HS (when she & Donny had the variety show), but now that my mother is widowed and I am spending way more time with her, I am realising that while I don’t look like her, we certainly share mannerisms.

I am noticing more similarities to my mom too.
Something that used to horrify me, but now that she is gone, it is comforting.

One of the things I like about 30Rock is that most of the actors ( except for Alec Baldwin) don’t look like movie stars.

When they used to have cigarette billboards, my D also thought the guy in the Camel ads was her dad.
I think my grandpa looked like Fred Astaire , my grandma looked more like Lucille Ball- or maybe it was just the hairdo!
