How many points on my essay will I lose?

<p>tribal –> you’re wrong… unless your saying you could get a max of 6 (from 1 grader) w/out a conclusion… in which case you’re right cause that’s the max you can get… even w/ a conclusion.</p>

<p>i didn’t write a conclusion at all cause I ran out of time. I got a 10 on my essay.</p>

<p>Evilbooya is correct. In the training, graders are told “The essay need not a formal conclusion.” In other words, you don’t need a whole paragraph with a kind of take-away. But if a conclusion helps you tie up your essay with a bow, then sure, go ahead and use it.
If you are really organized, you can put your “conclusion” first. This has the advantage of letting the reader know exactly what you are about to do. That gives your essay focus, as long as you do what you told them you would, in detail.
However, tribal’s point about appearing disorganized is valid…you don’t want to end your essay mid-thought.</p>
