How Many Times Did Your Kid Take the SAT/ACT?

I will admit that we told S1 in no uncertain terms that he was NOT retaking a 2380. Call me a controlling, pushy parent! S happily agreed.

S2 chose to retake the SAT. He was in his target range, but as I previously posted, he wanted to get that CR higher.

High school teachers actually had more to say about the timing of SAT-IIs than anyone else. They knew how their courses aligned with the exams.

Kid#1 (S): Took SAT once (junior year) and also each of three SAT II’s once (senior year). Totaled 3,910 on five exams.

Kid#1 (D): Took SAT once at end of junior year, repeated in senior year. Both without prep; ended up with identical total scores: 1350 on M + V. Plenty good enough for admission to top art schools.
