<p>Yeah. I didn’t do so hot on my AP’s last year and when I applied to UNC-Chapel Hill they had a section that “somewhat strongly requested” you to send in AP scores. I freaked out over it because I figured it would look bad not to report them. But I didn’t report them anyways.</p>
<p>But I got in anyways. Same holds true with some of my other friends. One of my friends submitted two 3’s for his exams (which would get him no credit anyways) and he still got in too.
I don’t really think it matters that much. I think it’s only crucial if the admission officers believe you’re on the border or can’t decide between you or someone else and in that case it could come down to the matter of AP scores.</p>
<p>At least that’s what I think.</p>
