levels to inner city or disadvantaged kids.</p>

<p>iambored10: I think your teacher is trying scare tactics. Across the board, it’s well-known that NHS varies from school to school. Any adcom worth his/her salt knows this.</p>
<p>I didn’t join NHS because I was too busy w/ECs and no one bothered to invite me. I wasn’t into pursuing clubs for the sake of just doing it either. It didn’t hurt me any bit, matriculating at an HYP college, being accepted at all other schools applied.</p>
<p>Also, if you want to be an MD and did soup kitchen stuff and you think this is BAD because you didn’t have science-related voluntarism? Wow. Talk about paranoid speculation — Please, please don’t apply to work in an admissions office after graduation OK?</p>
