<p>I know but I know the kinds of students that go there, like 90 percent of my school will be going there and I hate them all. I don’t want to go to a school like that, I’m not comfortable. I want to get away from it all. I can’t explain what RI is like unless you love here, it’s different everyone knows everyone. But I may not have a choice in the matter.</p>
<p>Don’t worry - the high school drama will fade. You’ll soon look back on it with a smile. It’s not going to carry over into college, whether it’s RI or anywhere else.</p>
<p>In college you have the opportunity to meet people you did not go to HS with… even if many you did attend HS with attend. Even if 90% of your HS class attend there, there will be large numbers of students from other schools. You can go out of your way to join clubs, and meet people who are not the kids you attended HS with. URI may have an honors program… if so, apply…</p>
<p>The current economy is not flush… if you seek out like minded individuals you will find them at man schools. MANY students are choosing affordable in-state options for undergraduate education. </p>

<p>Literally about 1000 people from my high school go to my college. I see one of them sometimes. URI has ~20,000 students. You’ll find people to click with.</p>
