<p>Most of the time, computer applications do it all for you. The reason why there are alot of Engineers now with no Engineering degrees. and they prove just as capable as a person with a degree.</p>

<p>I think you are mostly correct, but there is some high level EE (the only field i’m familiar with) in industry that uses some serious math, and people without degrees are not being hired for it. I would have to believe that the same holds true for the other branches of engineering as well.</p>
<p>Whether you actually use the math in an engineering job isn’t the biggest concern for me. I’m just thinking that the math courses will help me out if I decide to change to a mathematical and non-engineering career.</p>
