If we were not explicit with our D that we expect relatively frequent phone calls, even if just for a minute, she would probably still not have called us. It is not a boys or girls thing, but the nature of the person. If he/she did not like telling you where he/she is going and what he/she is doing while at home, don’t expect them to do it while in college.</p>
