How old do you have to be to be considered independent for financial aid purposes from USC?

Your story is a bit all over the place since you are asking about transferring after you said you dropped out because of bad grades. Trying to get anything from USC after dropping out because of bad grades is unlikely. If that is the case, I would put your efforts elsewhere.

I’m a sophomore at USC and I was just accepted as an internal transfer into the SCA division of cinema and media studies. I’m also thinking about applying to the production major on September first. Does anyone know what the acceptance rate is into the production major for students who are already in SCA?

I went to school out of state at USC in LA for 2.5 years, dropped out because of bad grades, moved back to florida, applied to transfer to florida schools, I really wanted to go to UF or FSU, but I only got into USF st pete. Im wondering do you guys think I should go to USFSP to finish my degree or should I go to a community college, raise my GPA, and then reapply to UF and FSU after getting an AA?
