Do the items listed begin with “R” or “D” code?

An “R” is a remedial where DoDMERB will request more information, sometimes a doctor appointment is necessary for more tests, sometimes they just want medical records. They will send a letter to her asking for any information they need to make a final decision.

A “D” is a disqualification.

If you feel that the DQ is incorrect, you can submit paperwork (medical records, letters from your doctors) and a statement from your daughter explaining how the condition affects her or how it does not affect her. They will then determine if your rebuttal evidence is enough to remove the DQ or keep it.

If you know that the DQ item is correct, then you need to hope for a waiver. USNA automatically considers every competitive candidate for a waiver. The USNA Admissions Department will contact you if there are additional requirements for the waiver process.
