well I’ll be hornswaggled.

( I really am laughing on the inside and the outside over this one.)

I guess the issue appropriate form of a greeting or address depends on where yall from or where your folks hale from. Or did I miss the everybody is the same meeting?

I can’t stop anyone from being offended if they so choose. I’ve apologized back aways and that actually should have been it. no?

Back to the original topic…

Only injury I’m aware of in 2 years of high school volleyball - during a warmup drill involving running backwards, a girl fell backward and broke her wrist.

I’ve seen many more accidents at dance than in volleyball.

The “sport” that scares me is cheerleading. It’s not really regulated, and it needs to be. It’s really dangerous doing some of those stunts and I hear a lot of coaches aren’t trained.

“The “sport” that scares me is cheerleading.”

Agreed, you’d think since cheerleading has become more of a gymnastics type exihibtion, they’d at least put the gym mats out. Failing to catch a kid from a 10-15 fall is pretty risky. I don’t even know it anyone walks the surfaces to look for glass and other materials.

I know I walk the fields I referee on to look for anything from glass, animal poo, chemical spills (fertilizer), rocks to hypodermic needles and other unmentionables, along with the basic goals secure, lines straight stuff.
As a youth player I hit a broken bottle in a muddy field and had many stiches to close that up. I wouldn’t wish that on any kid.
