@blackbeard What area of the US are you in? Maybe if you live close, it took less time.
@Gryffinhunter I am sure that is the totality of the reason. We live in Virginia so I was not totally surprised to get it M9 knowing they use the mail. Still, good to go into tomorrow with one piece of good news as I am sure there will be at least one or two rejections or wait lists by the time it is all over.
Congrats to the beardlings! You can breathe a little easier on your vacation.
Everyone, Exeter sent out a few of their decisions this afternoon - acceptances, rejections and waitlists - due to a brief computer glitch. I understand that everything is back to normal and the bulk of decisions will go out as scheduled tomorrow. The main point is that you might get a notice today but if you don’t, don’t worry, it doesn’t mean anything one way or another.
I received SAS waitlist letter. I also am a Virginia boy, so it’s a location thing.
@PreppyHenry do u live in the US? Maybe if you don’t that is a reason you got it a day early. CONGRATS!!!
Does anyone else find it ironic that a school that is supposed to be home to some of the brightest minds in the country seems to be the one school that had a “computer glitch” with its admission decision process?
Nobody’s perfect, @SevenDad. Why the snark?
And violate the TSAO agreement…
Williston came in the snailmail a day early, accepted.
Nobody’s perfect @SevenDad
signed @agincourt the person who has already gotten accepted to Exeter

sorry couldn’t resist
@LifeLongNyer, I am a parent and an alum of another school. Your point being…?
I don’t think it’s snarky-- it violates TSAO AND is clearly driving people crazy! And it’s clearly more than “a few.”
Touchy, touchy!
But again, has any other ACRONYM school reported such a glitch today?
Well, it appears to me to be an inadvertent error, clumsy, but hardly a “violation”. I will leave you to yourselves…
When it comes to Exeter, SevenDad has always had an inferiority complex, so let’s all let him enjoy the “glitch.” Just proves that St. Andrews is uber alles, per the usual pot-banging here.
At the risk of protesting too much, neither daughter applied to Exeter.
Saint Paul’s should have sent you or your parent an email giving you a link with a username and passcode. Good luck
Computers don’t make mistakes, people make mistakes… just saying.
Congratulations blackbeard and beardling!
