That’s really very stunning. Because, even as a girl, being short as garnered me unpleasant comments. I really, really find it… what’s the right word… unbelievable that you’ve never once been singled out negatively for being short. Actually, I find it impossible. Sometimes people choose to hear things and pretend not to hear others. Sometimes people are… willfully oblivious. Sometimes people… overcompensate.

Unforunately for me, it’s not just the media. I suppose all I can say is that you’re obviously very lucky you don’t live where I live, or all 5’5 inches of you wouldn’t be so jolly about being your height.

<p>No, actually. But a 5’5, rather gung-ho male who insists that he’s never ONCE felt badly about being on the very short side might be an appealing “target,” not because he’s short, but because it seems somewhat delusional.</p>

<p>That’s really a matter of contention. The “easily believable” part, I mean. I’m actually glad for you think that you’ve never ever once, in your entire life, been even jokingly slighted for being short. Whether anyone would actually believe that is of course really a different matter. </p>

<p>Like I mentioned, some people are selective in what they choose to remember and pay attention to, which obviously might help them feel both “more awesome” about themselves as well as impervious to, say, height discrimination.</p>

<p>I’m quite sure I would notice if anyone has ever said anything negative to me in regards to my height. I have a VERY good memory and I’m over analytical/critical. Perhaps these insults which HAVE TO HAVE HAPPENED BECAUSE IT’S IMPOSSIBLE FOR IT NOT TO HAVE HAPPENED found a rut in my brain and I can’t remember them.</p>

<p>Also, my awesomeness has nothing to do with my height. It has everything to do with my character(something which you clearly lack, which in turn is your reason for lack of awesomeness), accomplishments and relationships I’ve had with people.</p>
