How to apply with two VERY different interests (ART and ENGINEERING)

I love this comment. My engineer son is taking a lot of “calculus for x” classes too, with a few “linear algebra for electricity” along the way.

My chem E daughter described the majority of her classes as “a festival of calculus”.

Check this out. Many many artsy kids take UX etc. Nice way to use her creative ability https://www.si.umich.edu/programs/bachelor-science-information

thanks to all for your thoughtful and creative ideas and encouragement to help me support my daughter! i will be looking into lots of the links and programs that have been suggested. luckily we have applied to several summer engineering programs but some of them are quite selective so we’ll see how it goes when we hear back in the coming weeks. for those who suggested more computer/software-type STEM programs, i am not sure she is bent towards that (even if that is where the field is going) but currently she seems more interested in some of the traditional Biomed Eng or MechE tracks (but who knows, like i said, she actually hasn’t had much real exposure yet). i am starting to resonate with those who said “apply as Engineering major” and consider minor or creative ways to work in her art interest since 1) she is not interested in Art as a career at all, and 2) it is generally the harder major/school to get admission to and if she decides to abandon it, it will be easier to go into some other field (a la liberal arts) than from lib arts to engineering.
i am encouraged there is so much support and experience on this forum - sometimes it feels like trying to drink from a firehose with the amount of info you all have  but better to have all this info than not for sure. Thank you all!
