@whovian26 can I ask in what LLP you end up?
I do not think that DC has a chance at Honor Humanities with an Engineering major.
Sounds like DCC is the only way to go and was the first choice.
Otherwise live with UH, take just something to be in Honor dorm (without much participation) and drop from the program after 1st year…
Very lame approach but I do not see another option.
Just red that now UH are forced to use at least one cluster.
“Students may choose to complete either 2 thematic clusters or 1 thematic cluster and 1 theory & practice track.”
For students who do not want to be involved in any politics it is really not good place. Clusters are : Revolution, Deliberation, War and Peace, Identity & Intersectionality. I can see how this will not be appealing to many students.
Agree with @User2987456 that there is no value in this program for many students.
How is are you guys seeing what LLP you got into? I submitted my LLP preference form last minute, but I haven’t gotten an email saying I was placed in one.
@acoyner my daughter heard from her Scholars program (SDU) by email last night. Also now shows on her checklist in the Coalition Application. Most of her friends got into Honors and dome have heard but others have not.
I haven’t take the ap test for ap bio yet and it says I was placed in ILS so I don’t think you need a 5
@PurpleLlama066 My bad - the ILS webpage says a 4 or 5 is acceptable. ILS students need to place out of the freshman biology sequence. UMD must have a lot of confidence in you!
@momsearcheng how did emailing work out for your daughter? I was placed in gemstone and want to switch to DCC too, but not sure if it will work.
No response yet. However, given coronavirus and economic uncertainty we may consider skipping LLP and Honors program. That way DC can graduate in 2-3 years and focus on graduate school.
