<p>For housing, freshman get placed into dorms at their respective colleges, transfers get placed into the Village. </p>
<p>The real difference for the six colleges for transfer students is going to be the GEs you have to complete after you transfer. Each college has their own focus for their GE curriculum and while IGETC satisfies a large portion of your GE requirements, it doesn’t satisfy all of them like is the case at most of the other UCs. So after you transfer you’ll have a handful of college-specific GE requirements that you’ll have to complete in addition to your upper division major requirements to graduate. There are also different clubs, organizations, and events held by the respective colleges that you can join in addition to ones that are campus wide. Really though the important difference is GEs.</p>
