All in the title. I NEED to raise my SAT score 400 some points. Please, I know this question is probably really annoying a lot of you as you hear it all the time but I really need any and all advice. I got the BB too BTW.

From 1200 to 1600??? Study, practice test, study what you missed, practice test, study what you missed, lather rinse repeat…

From 2000 to 2400??? Not going to happen.

advice? STUDY. there’s nothing else anyone can say since there are no secret shortcuts for studying for the SAT

^^True. Kinda stupid thread when you think about it. My question is, do you think I can pull off a 400+ increase in 9 weeks?

Everything is possible it’s just not very likely. It depends on where you’re starting from and how hard you’re willing to work.

If I went from a 26 ACT to a 32 ACT retaking for a 32+, then anything is possible.

Although, the reason I dropped the SAT is that I couldn’t break past 2100. I basically had a 400 point increase in 5 YEARS.

Just keep practicing, and then pray really hard for Occlumency.

Nice name Beat Freaks, though I thought Quest Crew was better :D. I mean like they say anything is possible but this is very tough… have you already signed up for the next SAT? would it be possible for you to push it back? if you take it in December and you are willing to work very hard a 400 point jump is quite possible, though taking into account your starting score like 1700 to 2100 is possible or 1800 to maybe 2150 or 2200. I recommend buying the Blue book from Collegeboard and just follow the XIggi Method it seems to work for almost everyone, it’s stickied at the top of the thread. Also I read a how to tackle the SAT critical reading section, I haven’t actually put it into affect but everything the poster is saying seems to be solid and would seem to work. Here is the link check it out if you haven’t already

Do really bad the first time.

Junoon, questcrew!! :)

also lockn, badly*

No, I don’t think you have any chance whatsoever. If you really want to, get off the forums and study, because non-stop studying is your only chance.

NOOOOO BEAT FREAKS!!! LOL, nah I’m obsessed with BF but Quest Crew is a SICK crew. They deserved to win. QC and BF FTWWWW LOL.

Now on to the thread topic. Thanks for the advice you guys and my starting score is…1480 =[. Im trying to bring that up to an 1800+. I’ve been usign the BB and Im going to buy the Grubers book for more CR and writing practice. I’ve done bad in the practice CR for the BB. My scores so far are: 2/6, 5/11, 7/13. Im trying to really focus on CR because with Writing I’ve seen the foolish mistakes I made and Math, I just need to study more formulas and get down the tricks they use. I got a 550 for Math so I know with more practice I can get that up to 600+. It’s just CR that I’m worried about. =[
