<p>Mass transpo to and from Annapolis is a royal pain. My sons (2nd and 3rd class now) get rides to and from the New Carrollton Metro from friends of theirs and friends of ours (unofficial sponsors).</p>
<p>The “find a friend with a car” advice is the best advice. We spent a lot of time at G-Town visiting classmates’ sisters and GF’s who were at G-Town. What a great place! I hope you take advantage of DC while you’re here.</p>
<p>You can’t drive on to the academy unless you have a pass or a DOD decal, but parking in town at the Noah Hillman garage on Main Street is typically not a problem unless it’s a tourist weekend - like this one.</p>
<p>Letters, letters, letters during Pebe Summer. Nothing like a letter to make you smile during the summer. If you send cookies, pack 'em tight. They sometimes turn into crumbs with the not so gentle “handling” they get in the mailroom. Mom sent brownies, but kids reported that they were rock hard by the time they arrived. Hand delivery is still the best method, and you won’t be able to do that until after Plebe Summer.</p>
