<p>It’s America . . . you too have the right to join the legions of fat, ugly Americans wearing shorts and “I’m with Stupid” T-shirts who populate most every tourist attraction in America [in the world]. There might not be as many FUgA at USNA as there are at Disneyland, but they are there.
There are no particular restrictions on what you can wear at the Academy [flip-flops have, indeed, taken over everywhere] although I think a six-shooter strapped to your waist might be frowned upon.</p>
<p>Having said that, you might feel a bit out of sorts standing next to a crisply dressed mid if you are in a sloppy t-shirt and torn pants. For the most part, don’t worry about it.</p>
<p>Annapolis is one of the GREAT towns in America–it holds it own next Carmel CA, Key West, FL, or any other quaint town next to the sea, as well as Lake Tahoe, NV or Aspen, CO,–for walking around.</p>
<p>Let’s see, apart from the football games, there are a couple of dances to which you cold be invited–so take at least one nice dress w/ you to school–and several concerts [Comedians and singers] to which tickets may be purchased. Given the size of the venue and the preference mids are give for tickets, this is an opportunity to see a show up close. That is, if you can drage yourself away from the GT scene. My son’s friend is currently in Japan finishing up her year away.</p>
