<p>My son has been running the neighborhood since he was about six. He is quite adventuresome in some respects. However, we live in an area where kids really cannot leave our development to go somewhere on a bike or walking because there are no sidewalks and the backroads out of our neighborhood are narrow, curvy, and have no shoulders. There are no public swimming pools, so they couldn’t take off to the pool for the day as I did when I was young. And around here, there really was the fear of abduction when the kids were younger. Not all communities are created alike.</p>
<p>MD Mom–how many kids were abducted from your neighborhood?</p>
