How to show my son he's in the wrong major?

I had something else to say after going through and reading all the posts, not just the OP’s. First, why the assumption that math and science are “the hard majors”? Some people have more of an aptitude for those, and some for other things. I have read Philosophy is the most accepted major for law school in part because it is considered highly challenging. But on my other point - just ask my son. He is a straight A high school student who LOVES math. He says French and Social Studies are much harder classes for him than math, and he’s in AP college credit math classes.

Another thing I wanted to mention is that my dad has a PhD in Physics from a prestigious university and he is a salesman right now. STEM majors do not guarantee success.
