@voilindancegirl: sure! Even if I’m rejected, I’ll still post it!

it’s so nice to see y’all so hopeful, but the truth is that the acceptance rate this year for andover is 15%, lowest in andover’s 200+ years history. Of course i would LOVE to see everybody on CC getting accepted to his/her dream school, and everybody here DESERVES to go, but … (sigh)
sorry i hate to be the person to pour down the icy cold water, but i just have to say it ya know… :(

thanks exoveerotch.

I already noticed that. Sill, being hopeful yet pessimistic is my nature.
And I’ve prepared for the worst outcome :D

To everyone: dont be too upset if you got rejected, it’s not like the end of the world ! feeling disapointed is okay, cry, eat and have a good sleep then you will be better. For those who got rejected, you can always apply for fall 2011, those schools are really grear, it will be totally worth it, at least to gain an experience!

Anyway, best of luck to all of you!!!

Now, I don’t really care whether I get accepted or not.
Today was the course registration for next year, and I got all my favorite classes(next year, I will have no class to take in math and science :); screwing with course requirements!! )

is it harder to get in if im applying for 10th grade?

Thats what I wanna know! I applied to exeter last year and didnt get in. My best friend applied to Andover through ABC, and got in on full scholarship. This year I’m applying to exeter, andover, hotchkiss, st.andrews, and HPA. I hope i get in somewhere!!! and calling it M10 makes be feel like a BA british spy =P

HPA? 10char

Hawaii preparatory Academy

I thought I was the only one applying there, gingergrl! I initially only looked at it as a safety, but the more I learn about it the more I want to go! It seems like a great school, and I really hope I get accepted.

How long till 6 am m10?

9 hours!!!
actually 8 hours and 51 minutes, but whos counting?

What exactly is ABC?

Musisat ~ ABC stands for A Better Chance and it’s an organization that helps kids of color get into independent day schools and boarding schools. Kids typically need to have at least a B+ average, good recommendations, etc. They go through a process that includes an application, interview, testing, etc. and then approximately 35% get referred to schools. Of those, about 80% are admitted to a member school.

One of the main benefits (for me, at least) is that we only had to fill out one application and get one set of recommendations which are then used by each school. There is also no application fee. They also offer their own testing dates and give fee waivers for the tests and SSS fee waivers.

That was probably way more information than you needed…LOL.
