<p>I wouldn’t have the conversation with Mom about med school at all. But you should think about whether you want to study engineering in college. You don’t have to decide whether to apply to med school until senior year of college, but you have to decide whether to be an engineer when you are applying to college, in a lot of cases, and certainly before you register for classes freshman year.</p>
