I think that it is fine to ask your academic advisor for help and advice. They are likely to want to know why you want to transfer.
Transferring as an undergraduate is not all that unusual. Completing your bachelor’s degree at one college or university and then getting a master’s degree (or some other graduate degree) somewhere else is very common, at least for students who get a graduate degree.
