Hey iwantuscplz, I’m a sophomore transfer. As long as you have completed more than 30 units USC won’t look at your ACT or SAT and don’t require letter of recs. I would just recommend trying to keep your GPA above 3.6 since this year may be more competitive with the common app. Having some ECs are good but are not as important as your GPA.

As for what classes to take you must take the equivalent calc and writing class that transfers over from CSUF (I’m not sure if your major requires calc.) I would look through the articulation agreement and make sure you pick classes that are transferable. During my first year I was able to complete GE 1, 2, 5, and diversity and some econ/accounting classes. I’m a business major so your major might be different but just definitely try to knock out some GEs
