<p>How about calling their financial aid office and explaining your situation? If there is any chance it would make a difference in their offer…unless you already have a much lower cost alternative lined up and you would be way out on a limb considering Pitt in the first place. I would still approach by calling financial aid, if your deposit was non refundable they may still have some options using professional judgement to refund all or part of the deposit, it doesn’t hurt to try.</p>
