Well, namaste.
To tell you the truth, I made a real stupid mistake of considering to attend SMC instead of COC, so I visited there…

Woah… let’s just say, I really didn’t like it. So ever since then, I completely abandoned the thought of ever attending there.

And really, going to SMC doesn’t give you any advantage. COC has just as much benefits.

Both SMC and COC have transfer alliance program with UCLA, both have honors program, and both have very high transfer rate.

The reason SMC has so many students transferring over to UCLA than any other school is simple: it has the largest population of students out of all CCC’s, and the number of people who apply to UCLA is the largest there.

However, as CardinalFocused pointed out, it also has the largest number of rejects. I dunno the exact number, but I believe about 1600 ppl applied to UCLA, and like 600 made it? that’s about 1000 getting rejected.

So conclusion: There’s nothing wrong with SMC, but at the same time, there’s nothing great about it also.
