I would rank Long Beach and SDSU as “hard to get into” programs. My son and I were really impressed with the Long Beach program. (We’re in San Diego so the son didn’t want to consider staying local.) Boeing is renting facilities on the campus at Long Beach and they hire student interns at intern rates. Plus the department chair was very welcoming and we didn’t have an appointment, but we got lucky when we went, so I wouldn’t recommend showing up without an appointment.
