how's college life in UCI?

Most people believe it to be a commuter school because of the lack of activities that goes on, on weekends.

Unless you have a big group of friend, in a frat/sorority, in many clubs, aka trying to be social. There really isn’t parties where you just jump into like Santa Barbara’s Isle Vista or etc.

In that regard Irvine also completely shuts down after 11. Unless you have a car it might feel lonely if your not that social to begin with.

You might also be afraid of people being locked into their group of friends as a transfer. Basically i can tell you that if you go out to clubs and actively go out looking for people you will be fine.

I transfered in the Fall and find UCI to be amazing. It definitely has no transfer bias at all and everyone I’ve met have been great.

TLDR edition- UCI isn’t a commuter school but if your a loner don’t expect to find things to do
