Check out Penn (especially) and Brown, which have exactly what you are looking for. Also Vanderbilt, Toronto, McGill. In the Chicago area, you may find Northwestern or DePaul more to your liking than the University of Chicago.

Chicago has a great, great music scene, but by and large it’s not in Hyde Park. It’s also expensive and heavily weighted to 21+ only compared to other places.

Anybody that wants to see Chicago weather in all its glory can check the Webcams between tomorrow and Wednesday:

Thanks, j’adoube! I just got on here to look for that link, since I can never find it easily on the Chicago website!

UChicago has a weather station and webpage with current conditions, forecasts, and archival data:

[University of Chicago weather](http://weather.uchicago.edu/)

Thanks Andorra! I’ll probably give this a check every now and then, see how the weather matches up with New Orleans’s

Lol at every other school/college besides uchicago canceled tomorrow. We go hard.

If you are not here already, the chances that you will experience a storm like Tuesday’s are zero. That was a one time thing. The chances of experiencing a snowstorm of historic proportions during a four year period is maybe twenty per cent.

^^Yes. My interviewer told me about this lol. :)

I looked at the webcam and the snow is beautiful. I’m really jealous… I think I’m a bit crazy.

Chicago has four seasons. The cold is only during winter, and the lake makes it a little warmer during winter and a little cooler during the summer. Of course this is all relative. Bring/buy a warm winter jacket, warm gloves, a scarf, boots and you should be fine. I stress, WARM. Don’t make the mistake of buying winter clothing that is too thin. Keep in mind, the buildings and dorms are heated and air conditioned, find the classrooms and dorms to be really warm. It’s only as cold as you dress!
