@chercheur Thanks. It works with a USB cable. I guess it means wifi chip died as @anomander pointed out. I will use up the ink and get a new printer. It served me well. It is a bit pain to use the cable to print.
The wifi on our HP printer only worked for about a year & was glitchy that one year. Since then we just use a USB cable to print. Not as covenient as wireless, but the printer itself works fine.
Try: in Windows, search for Services, go to Print Spoiler, then restart.
My printer is more than 10 years old. More like 15 years. Given the age, I think this breakdown is the beginning. Printers are so cheap. It is not worth the frustration.
Not sure how to edit. In 22, select print spooler, not spoiler.
@smdur1970 : To edit, you have to do it within 15 minutes of when you posted. Click on the star-like thingie in the top right of your post and then click on “Edit.” If it’s mre than 15 minutes later, you can’t do it.
so, @Igloo, how’s the printer?
It could be that it’s too old. We had to finally punt our large size (24" x 36") HP plotter for that reason - we couldn’t update it to be compatible with our computer. And it cost thousands of dollars.
@jym626 I ordered a new one. I should have it next week. In the meantime, I am connecting with a USB cable.
