<p>To summarize the link I gave you, I’d recommend UCI’s program, which I believe focuses more on preparing you for graduate work or education beyond a four year degree, whereas the cal states are designed to put nurses out on the floor after four years. I’ve also heard, although I can’t say for sure, that it’s a lot harder to get classes at cal states. Also, with long beach, you were admitted as a “pre-nursing” major, right? This doesn’t guarantee your admission to the nursing program, but at UCI you’re already in a nursing program right now. If you’re interested in grad school, I’d definitely recommend UCI. (I want to be a nurse practitioner too!) But don’t take my advice to heart, because I’m in the same boat you are; I won’t actually start college until fall.</p>
