I can help with helping you improve your SAT/ACT scores!

Hey, I have a few questions about conducting research?

  1. Once you have come up with an idea, how did you go from there?
  2. What was progress like and how did you make it?
  3. In total around how many hours did you spend on the project?

@GoBears2023, very helpful thread with info from you and several other posters here. Thank you to all!

I’m glad you found it useful!

Hello. Can you offer some suggestions to my son on his math scores, both SAT and ACT? He is a rising senior and has taken both the SAT and ACT a couple of times. Unfortunately he doesn’t have a strong preference for one test over the other and plans to take each at least one more time.
Best SAT score is 1320: 710 reading and 610 math. Best ACT score is 29: English 35, math 24, reading 31 and science 27. He’d like to get his SAT closer to 1400 and break 30 on the ACT.
Clearly math and science are his weaknesses and this is where he’s focusing, especially math. He’s using Khan Academy, doing practice tests (although he hasn’t done this in a while) and meeting with a private tutor. Anything else you would recommend?
Thanks for your help

@GoBears2023 Hi, would you please private message me? Thank you!

Hi, I hope that it is not too late to ask a question lol.
I am currently a high school junior and am taking the SAT in March. I have done quite a few practice tests and am currently scoring around 5 wrong on the reading and also 5 wrong in the writing of the SAT. My math section is fine and nearly perfect every time. I was just wondering if there are any tips to increase my accuracy because I aim to get a competitive score similar to yours.
I was also wondering what reading strategies you use. Ex: reading the questions first, skimming, etc.
Thank you so much!

@GoBears2023 Hello, What prep material would you recommand for ACT essay section? Can you write some tips on how to write ACT essay? Which test do the prestigious colleges prefer, ACT or SAT? Thank you so much.
