I can't find the Barnard Financial Aid APp

If you want financial aid and have not filed a required form, then I think you should be asking the Financial Aid department, not posting your question on CC. It’s pretty clear from the web site at [Barnard College Financial Aid](http://www.barnard.columbia.edu/finaid/procedures-first.html) that the Barnard form was due by February 1st.

That being said, the information requested on the Barnard form at http://www.barnard.columbia.edu/finaid/pdfs/Financial_Aid_App_10-11.pdf</a> seems duplicative of the PROFILE, and if you checked the “will be applying for aid” box on the application, and completed both the PROFILE and FAFSA on time – then their should be a file open for you at the financial aid office. The financial aid staff spends all of February and most of March chasing down missing paperwork that is in their files – I can attest from personal experience that they are reasonably good about sending emails or letters saying what more they need.

There is also a Financial Aid portal where you can log in and check status, but I honestly don’t know if this is available to applicants or only to continuing students.

However, if you want aid I think you need to be proactive about jumping through whatever hoops are required. It’s quite possible that a student might be admitted but experience delay in receiving a financial aid award because of incomplete documentation – and that can make things harder in terms of weighing options in April.
