<p>I agree with you, starbright (and OP). I’ve always been a bargain shopper and it wouldn’t cross my son’s mind that I was “pushing him out early” by buying ahead of time. Come to think of it, he’d be more concerned if I bought something for full price just when I actually needed it

<p>I have shopped the dorm discounts when I didn’t even have a college aged child! Some of the storage options, chairs, pillows, etc. are of great use in other parts of our house or at my office. Think beyond the dorm room!</p>
